Ed Carter joins Quest as Chief Revenue Officer.  Ed is a strategic, driven, and transformative sales leader with proven experience spanning both high-growth start-ups and F200 companies.  Ed has 30+ years in technology including 25+ years in leadership roles with SaaS companies specializing in Cybersecurity, IT Resilience, Customer Experience Management, Datacenter Infrastructure, and Corporate Performance Management. 

Ed comes to Quest from Trellix where he held the role of SVP, Americas and grew the company’s topline bookings during his tenure across both Enterprise and OEM markets.  Prior to Trellix, Ed held senior sales roles at Deep Instinct, Zimperium, Zerto, Sprinklr and VCE where he drove hypergrowth strategies and execution models.  Prior to VCE, Ed spent nine years with Applix, Cognos, and IBM culminating in two acquisitions (Cognos and IBM). 

Part of Ed’s unique background includes time as a commissioned Air Force Officer where he served in both Operations and Finance in the Space and Intelligence sectors. 

His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Management from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA in Finance from California State University Long Beach. 

Ed is the proud father of three children (Garrett, Dillon, and Trinity).  He is enjoying a 32+ year marriage to Shellee and interests outside the workplace include his family, sports (college football & baseball in particular), gardening, music, and outdoor recreation.  The Carter family resides within the North Texas DFW area.
