Today I will demonstrate how to collect the SchemaDefinition within the Object Browser.
The topics covered within this video include launching an Object Browser, finding the SchemaDefinition, and we'll save a copy of the SchemaDefinition to our desktop. Please note that the tutorial performed in this video will be done within a version 6.1.1 environment.
First, let's open the Object Browser. Using the Start menu, we'll browse to All Programs, Quest Software, Quest One Identity Manager, Database, and we'll click Object Browser from the menu.
Now we'll log in with the system account, and I'll just enter my password. And we'll click Connect.
Under the navigation pane on the left side of the Object Browser, we'll scroll down and select the domain table. We will select the relevant domain from the list. This will provide a list of domain table columns and values.
In the domain, we'll scroll down and find the SchemaDefinition column. Then we'll go ahead and click on the Browse button on the far right side.
Next, we'll go ahead and select all of the text and copy the text to our clipboard.
Next, we'll open up a Notepad, we'll paste the contents of our clipboard, and we'll save a copy of this file to our desktop.
Now, we'll close the Object Browser, and discard our changes.
