Is there a way I can pass parameters to the Command Line specified in the RemoteCommandAction e.g. monitored host name

For any Action you wish to use in a rule, you can edit the parameters to reference a variable by using the @ symbol... that's why you need to place two consecutive @ symbols when defining a static email address (e.g. myemail@@example.com).

So the trick will be to generate a Severity-level variable or Rule-level variable to contain the parameters you need to use, you'll need to be familiar with groovy scripting and Topology Object structure to define these.

Regarding running the actual actions, let me some disambiguation.

• CommandAction: will execute the command locally in the FMS server
• RemoteCommandAction: will execute the command in the FglAM you specify (the docs incorrectly say "monitored host" but it's the FglAM)
• ExecuteCommandOnRemoteHostsAction: will execute the command on a monitored host
