Executive Bios

Paul ChristmanPaul Christman
President and CEO

Paul Christman leads Quest Software's public sector subsidiary, covering the federal government, state and local governments, and higher education in the U.S. In this role, he oversees all sales, reseller channels, alliances, marketing, systems consulting, and operations.  He is responsible for the subsidiary's long-term growth and profitability as well as key customer relationships.  Mr. Christman joined Quest in April 2005 as director of public sector sales where he led teams in creating strategic technology relationships with state and local governments and higher education institutions nationwide.

Previously, Mr. Christman spent five years at VERITAS Software as national sales manager and business development manager for state and local governments and public education customers.  Prior to that, he was a district manager for Metiom, an electronic procurement software company focused on automating government purchasing.  Mr. Christman has also held various sales and sales management positions at Microsoft and Lotus.  He has been building his experience in government purchasing, contracting, consulting, and software product marketing since 1995 and has worked in the software industry since the mid 1980s.

Christman holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hamilton College.

Mike SingerMike Singer
Vice President, Federal Sales

Michael Singer directs the teams responsible for supporting the U.S. Department of Defense, civilian, intelligence and defense contractor markets. Before joining Quest at the start of 2012, Mr. Singer was President of Distributed Solutions, Inc. (DSI), a leader for 17 years in acquisition lifecycle management solutions to the Federal Government. His background prior to DSI includes positions as Vice President of Avaya’s Federal Business Unit, Senior Director of Government Sales & Marketing for Adobe Systems, Inc., and a Director and Managing Director at Sun Microsystems.

With over 25 years of experience in the information technology industry, Mr. Singer has been recognized repeatedly for his contributions to sales, marketing, executive level management and leadership. He is also a featured speaker at numerous IT industry events, a lecturer at The National Defense University, Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors for the USO of Metropolitan Washington, a member of the Executive Committee for the Board of Directors for the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and President of AFCEA DC.

Ted Milkovich Ted Milkovich
Director of Channels and Alliances

Ted Milkovich leads Quest Software’s public sector subsidiary channels and alliances organization supporting systems integrators, valued reseller, referral and distribution partners that serve US government agencies and education institutions. He is responsible for building a program which will yield long-term growth and profitability of public sector partner relationships. Mr. Milkovich joined Quest in early 2012.

Prior to Quest, Mr. Milkovich held various senior level leadership positions during his 21 years at Novell, Inc., ranging from director of sales to worldwide global alliance executive. As a sales director he lead his sales teams in selling enterprise software and solutions to various types of key marketplaces, including Fortune 500/2000 companies, US federal agencies, state and local governments and public education institutions. During his time as a global alliance executive he gained a deep understanding of the channel and the importance of a powerful and effective partner model. His experience included working with the partner ecosystem of distributors, resellers, VARs, SIs and consulting organizations with an alliance focus of IBM, HP, Dell, Lenovo and Wyse. In addition, he was involved in business development efforts around Linux and Open Source. Mr. Milkovich has been building his experience in government purchasing, partnering, business development, and IT marketing since 1988 and has worked in the industry since mid-1980s.

Milkovich holds a double major in administration and management science and economics at Carnegie Mellon University.

Tammi ShapiroTammi Shapiro
Vice President, Operations Facility Security Officer

Tammi Shapiro's team is responsible for financials, GSA contracts, security clearances, and business management. She joined Quest in April of 2006 and has more than decade of experience managing operations in the public sector. Prior to Quest, Mrs. Shapiro was a contractor for the Department of Homeland Security and worked for a disaster recovery firm. She also spent 14 years with Lucent Technologies in senior roles in operations and marketing. Additionally, Mrs. Shapiro has expertise working with the intelligence community. She holds a bachelor's degree in technology management from the University of Maryland.

Dave BaldwinDave Baldwin
Director, Public Sector Sales

Dave Baldwin leads sales activities for Quest's database solutions, serving the federal government, state and local governments, and higher education in all 50 states. He builds business relationships with customers that use Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, and DB2 database platforms. Mr. Baldwin joined Quest in 2001. Prior to that, he held a number of positions in sales and sales management in both government and commercial markets. He is an active member of several IT associations including AFCEA and ITAA. In his spare time, Mr. Baldwin enjoys playing hockey and working with special needs children. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Frank LessiakFrank Lessiak
Director, Public Sector Technical Services

Frank Lessiak joined Quest in May of 1999. His Consulting Services organization is responsible for technical sales support, software implementation, and ongoing technical satisfaction for all Public Sector customers. Prior to working at Quest, Frank was an instructor at Oracle teaching database design, data modeling and PL/SQL programming. Before that, he was the Software Development Director at Computer Packages Inc., a patent and trademark software development firm. He has 28 years of experience in IT, with the first ten years of his career spent as a mainframe programmer working on government contracts. In his spare time he plays hockey and teaches high speed driving. Frank holds a computer science degree from University of Maryland as well as a BS in Management from National Louis University.
