Hello. My name is Robert Pound, and I'm a product technologist for Quest. Today, we will cover how to add licenses in Toad DevOps Toolkit. Whether you're renewing, moving to a commercial license or extending an evaluation, you will, at some point, have to work with licenses. So, as an example, when running a PowerShell script, I've run across this license has expired error and I created a Toad auto object and checked the licensing parameter.
We can see my license is drastically out of date. So that's something that I'm going to go have to remedy. So, at this point, you have two options. You can either use the licensing manager installed with the Toad DevOps ToolKit, or you can use your profile on Toad World to update the license. So for the first route, opening up license manager, there's several different ways to do it. I'm going to go through the start menu. And open up the license manager.
And under the licensing tab, you can see all current versions of the license. If you click on purchase, it will open up a tab in your browser of choice detailing the different ways you can purchase a license through Quest. So you have the different options as far as contact information, buying online, trials, freeware et cetera. But moving back to the manager, if I wanted to add a license, I could simply come here to the add button, enter in the license number and the site message, and it would be added.
The other way is through your profile. So if I switch over to Toad World. So once you're logged in under the community tab, you can click on your name, and it will bring you to your profile. And under that, there will be account and Toad licensing. Click on that hyperlink. It will bring you to a new page that has all of your licenses. And from here you can, again, add a license. Let me go ahead and switch over to my email message.
Copy this over real quick. And add. Now, my license has been updated. And if I open the license manager one more time, it should get the refresh. And now the license has been updated in the license manager, as well. And that's all I had to share today. Hopefully, this helped you understand a little bit more about licensing in Toad DevOps Toolkit and how to extend licenses.
