One Identity Partners from across EMEA arrived at Savill Court Hotel in Egham, UK last week with high expectations to hear about the new direction of One Identity in the market and also to hear directly from the leadership.   After two days of enjoyable activities and a varied agenda delivering both business and technical content, our partners were not disappointed.

Starting with an English Public House social evening at the Fox and Hounds - on Monday Nov 14th with a typical ‘English’ menu – a choice of  Thai Green Chicken Curry with Coconut Rice and Pesto and Sun-dried Tomato Pasta, Mixed Salad followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding!   The intent of the event was to connect our team with our partners but also provide opportunity for partners to connect too – which they definitely embraced.   A very enjoyable evening was had by all!

On Tuesday, Nov 15th the partner forum opened with a key-note from Jackson Shaw which asked “Why does IAM matter to organisations?” and a further detailed presentation informing about “Innovation at One Identity”.  In addition, Director EMEA Sales, Ian Sutherland outlined the One Identity business within EMEA and the wider organisation providing an opportunity for Andrew Clarke to elaborate on the Quest Partner Circle and the expectations for the One Identity Partner Connect portal.

Break-out sessions split between business and technical provided focused tracks that aligned to the partners specific interests.

Business topics included: PAM- Business Point of View; 2016 IAM  Research; Data Governance;  IAM market trends; Governance for Cloud; Compliance: GDPR; Access Management – getting the basic right.

Technical topics included: Detailed outlines of Access Management : Defender, Password Manager & Cloud Access Manager; Active Roles; Privileged Account Management including Safeguard; Privileged Access Governance; Identity Governance; Data Governance; Cloud Governance and IAM delivery services for Partners.

To round out the event on Wednesday, a session covering different perspectives; Analyst; Customer; Partner & Global support rounded out a very informative event.   We were pleased to welcome Scott Cornfield from SKY who spoke about his positive experiences in working with One Identity.   An open Q&A session culminated the event with deep questions about the One Identity portfolio and the new Partner Program.

An unusual group photo shot resulted in a sky view of the letter O for One Identity being formed in the grounds of Savill Court – this was a fun element of the event aided by an overhead drone – and enhanced the networking experience at the event.

A special celebration evening occurred on Tuesday 14th November attended by all partners with special guests:

Gyles Brandreth – a former MP; author and UK broadcaster

 Laura - Saxophonist
