This month, KuppingerCole released their Leadership Compass for Identity Provisioning and we are pleased to see that they named Quest Software (now part of Dell) an overall leader. For this report, the firm evaluated our Quest One Identity Manager solution, which is not only about provisioning but also provides an integrated layer of access governance for the line of business to be involved in the process. Aside from standard criteria such as product functionality and capabilities, KuppingerCole also looked beyond the solution itself, but to the vendor with respect to innovativeness, market position, financial strength and ecosystem.
The firm defines innovation leadership as “what customers require to receive new releases that meet new requirements." With technology constantly progressing, organizational structures evolving and changing as well, innovation is crucial for success in the IT market segments. Aside from being ranked an overall leader, we are especially proud to report that KuppingerCole placed Quest in the farthest right-hand position on the innovation leadership chart. This validates our view that our customers need a trusted partner to help them face the ever changing challenges of identity and access management.
