[MUSIC PLAYING] So I work with the Sierra Club. We're a national nonprofit environmental group. I work in our Washington DC office. I'm a network administrator there, and responsible for that office and all of our road warriors, which is about a third of the users that are just not on a network. So that's really what initially brought the case. So we had no management abilities at all. So we didn't know if they were patching, we didn't know if there would be software updates.
We couldn't distribute them, so now with decimate, we don't worry about the patching. We could see where they are. You can see detailed information about the configurations. And because we're a Dell shop, we can get right into updating bios and warranty information, everything. So we have a much better picture of, not only what their current status is, but we can do pretty much everything we could in our headquarters now in the field as well.
The benefits of once we had case in place, the patch compliance was way up, especially in our remote field offices. We had a much more detailed information about asset configurations than we did before. And we were able to do software installations that we couldn't do before in the field. So we're in a much better place, in terms of compliance, software compliance as well.
Security is something we were concerned about. And even though we had automatic updates installed turned on for Windows, we didn't know if they were installing them, we didn't know if they were rebooting, and it didn't address any of the application updates. You know, where they're updating Java or Adobe and Microsoft. We feel much more secure now that they are fully patched machines out there. I find that Kace saves us a significant amount of time.
The information that we're getting is better about the machines. The interface is much simpler. It's easier to get to what you need to do, and it's transparent for the end users. We don't have to say log in with the admin password, because the Kace agent handles all that for us. I would say Kace saves me time in my personal life as well, because the more I can get it done efficiently at work, that means I don't have to stay at work as long, so I can get home and enjoy time with my family. And I also have the Kace Go app on my-- you know, so I have remote access if I need to, kind of, remotely troubleshoot. So I would say it does.
