Hi, I'm Sean Lutley, and I'd like to welcome you to the Unified Communications Analytics Cisco Data Sources Overview video demonstration. From within the Admin settings page, let's go into data collections, now, into the Cisco CDR logs.
You can see that by default, it collects peer-to-peer sessions, MeetMe conferences, and ad hoc conferences. First, you need to set the Cisco Unified Communication Manager or CCUM server. So just put your server name in. And if there's a port, put that in also, and then apply it. Now, we're going to add credentials. To communicate with the server, the account must be a member of the user group Standard AXL API Access.
Next, I need to add CDR directories that contain the tracking logs. You need to add them using a UNC path. I have one added already, and I'll have my second server also. As you can see, my second server was added. Now, we need to enter credentials that have read access rights to all the specific CDR directories. Just apply it, and then save it up.
Now let's configure the Cisco Configuration data source. As you can see, by default, it collects all possible data-- Cisco users, phone numbers, servers, and their configuration. You need to specify an account that has rights to the Active Directory user configuration.
Here's where you set the CUCM connection parameters. This is used to collect the Cisco Configuration from the specified CUCm server. And lastly, you need to enter the credentials that as a member of the Standard AXL API Access Group. And then, just saved the changes, and you're good to go.
After you configure a data source, you should wait a bit and then check on the collection status. If we take a look, around you can see the Cisco CDR logs. You can see the green check. That means everything completed successfully.
And that concludes the demo. Thank you for taking the time to watch, and they'll be many more to come. To learn more about Unified Communication's Analytics, visit quest.com.
