Hi my name is Randy Rempel. I'm a senior product manager with Dell Software.
This is the sixth of a multipart video series on how to migrate a Notes application to SharePoint. I'll show you how to migrate the data from Lotus Notes to a SharePoint list.
Let's go straight to the migration jobs. I reviewed the custom migration job for this leave request application in an earlier video. And I've already provisioned the SharePoint list, a Nintex form, and a Nintex workflow.
I run the migration job by selecting the migration job and clicking on Run. The migration job runs, and I can monitor the status on this screen.
The migration job has completed. Here you can see that four records were processed without errors or warnings.
I can export any missing users and groups here. I can then add these to the user mapping file.
I can open the SharePoint list from the screen by clicking on Go To List. The leave request application opens in a web browser.
I could open one of the migrated documents by clicking on Edit.
The document opens in the Nintex form that I imported earlier. All of the values from the Notes document are migrated.
The date values are copied. The image in the rich text field is copied over. The status field is also copied. The Lotus Notes usernames are mapped to active directory names and replaced.
You can also see that the document with the submitted status value has a workflow attached to it that is in progress.
Here, I can see that a task was created and assigned to administrator. I can open the workflow test by clicking on it.
The workload task opens, and I can see the option to approve or reject.
That's it for this video. I've migrated data from a Lotus Notes to a SharePoint list. I also reviewed how the migrated data appears in a Nintex form and a Nintex workflow.
