How to export data for external reports in Migrator for Notes to SharePoint

Today I'm going to briefly review exporting data for external reports in Migrator for Notes to SharePoint. I hope that you have watched most or all of the preceding videos in this series. By now, you should have run the discovery process, assigned technical and business classes, reviewed usage details, and assigned a disposition value. There are several reports that you can choose from to see details about the discovered Notes databases. This detailed database report contains most of the discover details and makes it very suitable for export to Excel. What you won't see in this report is the more detailed data that supports the total numbers. For example, we can see how many data documents existed in a Notes database, but we don't know how many documents were created with each type of Notes form. That information is available when we open the database properties within MNSP. Let me show you quickly how you can export that information to an XML file. Everything that you see in the database properties is exported to this XML file. Let's return to the detailed database report. It's easy to export this data to Excel. Now I have the data exported to Excel. There are a few things I need to fix as a result of the export. Now I can create new reports based on the export data. I quickly created a new chart showing the count of databases by technical classes. I can repeat this for business class and disposition. I'm going to add a new column for data doc range. This is the formula I'm going to use to calculate the data dock range. You can use similar formula too. Now I have a chart that groups document counts. I can rearrange the rows by selecting and moving them. I can also create similar charts for database size and user accounts, but I can still do more with this chart. Now I can combine information from document count ranges with technical classes.
