New connection interface in Toad Data Point v3.5

Hello, I'm Sreevani Abbaraju. I'm a Product Specialist in the Toad Business Intelligence Product Management Group for the Dell software organization. In this video, I plan to introduce to you the new connection interface that comes with Toad Data Point, the new release version 3.5. Right away you'll notice our list of connectivity has grown much longer. It's because we now support a lot of new data source connectivity. In addition to new connectivity, we've also made it easier for you to navigate your way while you make those connections. We've designed a connectivity interface in a way that all the individual connections are listed under categories or headings that they belong under. Take for example, Toad Intelligence Central. It's listed in their Toad data sources. If you had a data set or a snapshot on your Intelligence Central, and that's the source data for your query, this is where you would make that connection. If you had a desktop source, like a CSV file, or an access file, or an Excel file, this is where you would select and make that connection. Same thing with relational sources. Notice how the list is so much longer. It's because we now have a combination of native connectivity qualified ODBC connectivity also. If your source is not listed in here, you can use a generic ODBC connectivity to get to your source. As long as your source can be reached via ODBC, we can get to it using Toad data point. Business intelligence data sources, same concept here. Make it easier for you to navigate your way, make this connections. Focus on the newest and most exciting entry into this list, Google Analytics. There will be a whole new video on how to get to Google Analytics, log in, and start working with it. But all those analysts who are looking at the website traffic, visits information, et cetera, this is great news for you. You can now directly connect to Google Analytics using our new version release 3.5. We now support corporate credentials, single sign on for Salesforce.com. Newer entrants, SharePoint list, we can now get to it using Toad Data Point directly, a whole new category for NoSQL data sources. You can get to your big data sources using one of these connections.
