How to map a SalesForce instance to Toad Intelligence Central server

Hello. My name is Robert Pound, a Product Technologist for the Toad Business Intelligence Suite. Today I'll be discussing how you can map your Salesforce instances to Toad Intelligence Central Server. To begin, we will start with the Toad Intelligence Central Server admin console open and a connection made to our Intelligence Central Server Service. In the list of options below, we have data sources. We will right click on data sources, and choose map data source, giving our data source a name, and choosing salesforce.com from the drop down list. From here we have two choices. We can either provide credentials that will be shared amongst the users that connect to the sources, which I will provide now, including my Salesforce password and my security token. The other option we have when creating a Salesforce instance, mapping it to Toad Intelligence Central Server, is to let the user provide their own authentication. In this case, we can provide the username and password and security token, as we did in the previous step, or we can use corporate credentials. This is your salesforce.com single sign-on. To begin, I'll simply click OK once I have used credentials. The Toad Intelligence Central Server has created a handshake authentication with salesforce.com. In some cases, when you're using single sign-on, you may not be connecting from an image that has your corporate credentials on it. In this case, we will choose the check box below, and click OK. This will begin the manual process of creating that authentication that was done in the previous step. First, I will go to my salesforce.com login and copy the URL from the top of the window. I will paste it in, and I will get a second URL that I need to paste into my browser. Once I've pasted it and hit enter, I will be provided with a string that I will copy back in to the Toad Intelligence Central Server. Having completed, I will click authorize. We are now connected to Salesforce in the three different ways.
