Hello, folks. My name is Robert Pound, and I am a product technologist for Quest. In this short video, we'll talk about your different output options in the pivot grid in Toad Data Point. So I have a pivot grid onscreen. And we have several different options for outputting the data that you see here in the grid itself or the entire data set.
So if I come up to the top and choose the dropdown, you can see we have several different options for exporting your data. Exporting to a pivot grid specifically, you have options-- and obviously, you only have Excel as an export option, but you have options as far as sheet name, where it's placed in the Excel file, et cetera. And let me go ahead and export this out.
And once it completes, it asks whether we want to open the file. Let me go ahead and open it. It's brought back not only the pivot, but also the data. So now we have the full data in a separate tab. And as we click on the pivot, we can go ahead and further manipulate it as we see fit.
So our other export options, we can export just the grid. So if we wanted to just have the table that's currently onscreen, we can export that. We can also export it to a CSV file. So you have different options for exporting the grid.
You can also export the grid information to both HTML and PDF formats. So if I go ahead and export this out to HTML and open it, you can see how it's presented in HTML. And PDF is similar.
So in addition to being able to export this file information, you can also publish it if you have the Professional Edition and Toad Intelligence Central server set up. You can publish the file itself, which will publish your pivot grid file. You can also publish the data as a data set. So without getting into the details, essentially you can publish out just the file that we saw as a data set, and you can name it as you see fit. And lastly, you also have the ability to store this data into local storage. So again, I won't get into the details, but essentially you can save this grid information as a new table in your local storage.
Additionally, when working in automation, you have many of these options, as well. So again, looking at the pivot grid step, we can select our pivot grid. And then we have export options similar to what we had in the Pivot tab. And that wraps up the output information for the pivot grid. Hopefully this video was helpful.
