Toad is very customizable. There's many, many options. You could get to those via Tools, Options, and it brings up this dialogue. And one cool thing we have with Toad for DB2 is a search mechanism. So if you know that you have-- you might not know where the option is. If you know you have an option, for example, that's related to connections, you could type in a keyword like connections. So I just typed in the word connection, and I'll hit Search. And what we'll do is we'll come back with a list of all the options that are related to the word that you typed in.
So, for example, if I want to show the connection category in the Object Editor, you could do that. Or if I wanted to, basically, jump to all these things, you could just, basically, double click on any of these things. If you wanted to commit connection after a procedure or if you wanted to specify any of these options, you just, basically, jump. It's like a jump to those options via Toad. So it's something very, very handy.
For example, I think we had a open a new connection. So remember, as we went through the Configuration Wizard, we chose that on a new connection, open up a Database Explorer, you could modify that now by clicking these other things. Like I said, that was a first default pass through that we did, but a very handy way of doing that.
And another thing is that Configuration Wizard we ran the first time we opened up Toad. That could be invoked any time you want to, and you can drive that again just by using Tools Configuration Wizard, and it brings up the exact same wizard. And you could come through here, customize your look and feel of Toad. Click Next. Click Save. And those will be your default configurations if you choose to. So something that is a little bit different and a little bit-- and you could invoke the look and feel changing Configuration Wizard whenever you want to.
And another thing to note is that there's a many list of objects. As you can see, this dropdown list of objects is very large. Again, it's very customizable. If you're only interested in several of those objects, you could very easily delimit that by going into Tools, Options, going into Database Explorer, Objects. So here is a list of objects that are being displayed. If you did not want those objects displayed, you could just, in essence, just click those off.
So if you didn't want to see constraints or aliases, you could just uncheck those. Again, we have tabs on the right-hand side if you did not want to see some of those tabs on the right-hand side, you could say display details. And then you would expand each object, and then you could unclick the tabs on the right-hand side that you do not particularly care to see, so, again, very customizable look and feel, of how many objects, what type of objects, what type of data on the right-hand side you want Toad to display.
