How to create the migration job for the Notes documents and a Notes view in Migrator for Notes to SharePoint

Hi, my name is Randy Rempel, and I'm a senior product manager with Dell Software. This is the third of a multi-part video series on how to migrate a Notes application to SharePoint. I'll show you how to create the migration job for the Notes documents and a Notes view. Let's go straight to the migration jobs. Here you can see that I've already created a migration job named "leave request." I created a custom source data definition. I gave this definition the name "leave request." I've not made any changes to the Record Selection tab. I might have to if I had more than one type of document in the Notes application. For example, I could select records that only match the leave request form. Here you see all the fields from the Notes form. If you have an SP tool, it does separate out the content in rich text fields based on data types. Here I can preview the data based on how I configure the data fields. I can review the query results and determine if I need to make any changes to the source data definition. Now I'll review the target information. I already selected a site and URL and set a list name. I could test the connection to the target. I do not want to find a matching data definition this time, so I click No. I successfully connected to the leave request list. I did create a custom target data definition. I can give this definition a better name if I want to. I am creating a custom list, as you can see, by the selection of Other List. These are the fields that will be created in the SharePoint list by the migration job. I will map data from the Lotus Notes to these fields. The migration job will also migrate one of the Lotus Notes views to SharePoint. I configure the view here. Now we look at the data mapping. As you can expect, the auto mapping feature took care of most of the mappings. I also set the preserve setting so that usernames stored in the user fields would be updated. Here I can make additional settings for user mapping. For example, I could substitute a user that is not found with a default user. Next I will show how to run provisioning first. This will provision the list without migrating any content. I want to provision those first because I want to create a workflow that could be initiated during the content migration.
