How to send data to the SQL editor in Toad Data Point

Hello my name is Robert Pound, a product technologist for the Toad Business Intelligence Suite. Today we will be discussing different ways to get your script information into the sequel editor in Toad Data Point. To begin with the simplest case in the Object Explorer, I will simply right click on employee dimension and send to editor. This will generate a select statement with all the fields entered in. Another obvious way is to open an editor and simply copy and paste in your edited code from a sequel script or from a previous job. In the menu you can generate different types of sequel statements and you can send them to different areas, to the editor, append to the editor, being two different options you have. Another scenario involves a larger script where you don't necessarily want to append to the bottom of a script, or where you don't want to create a new editor. In this case, in Toad Data Point, we can simply drag and drop a specific table that we want to view. And then from the menu options, select the different options that we want. In this case, I want to do an insert statement. From here we can continue editing as normal.
