Hi, my name is Randy Rempel, and I'm a Senior Product Manager with Dell Software. This is the fourth of a multi-part video series on how to migrate a Notes application to SharePoint. I will show you how to import a Nintex form into a SharePoint list. The Nintex Form and Workflow solutions are both installed on this SharePoint Server. First thing I want to do is import the form that we transformed earlier.
I'm going to go ahead and import that form-- find it. So the form is now imported into the Nintex Form Designer. You see all of the fields and the field labels. So LeaveType field has the drop down list with the applicable choices. Start Date and End Date are both date-type fields. The description field is a multi-line text box field.
You can see the rest of the fields. So I'm going to go ahead and make some changes to the form now. What I want to do is just make some more room for the Description field, since it is essentially a rich text field. If I had more time, I'd make it even bigger than this, but you get the idea that I can basically resize fields in the designer.
If I wanted to, I could also add a logo to the top and make all of the fields much wider. Next, I can add the field mappings. So basically I can select title, set it to title. And I can go through all the rest of the fields and also add the mappings. In fact, you will have to manually assign these mappings for each new form. Now, we're working on a feature for a future release where the MNSP tool should provision the list in SharePoint, create the Nintex form and create the field mappings, all part of a migration job.
So I'll publish this form so that we can use it. If I wanted to, I could close the form now. And next, I'd create a simple workflow. And that's it for this video. I've imported a Nintex form into a SharePoint list. Please visit DellSoftware.com to learn more.
