OK, I'm going to quickly show you how to apply your 90-day trial license key to Data Point
Now when you download and install Data Point, it comes we embedded with a 30-day key. So the first thing you're going to want to do is take that special key we sent you and apply it to extend that 30 days to 90 days. So inside Toad Data Point, you go to the Licenses menu up here on the right, click on this, click on Manage License.
And I've got a trial license in here now. You'll have just a single license in your product. But just hit Add License, and then apply that license key that you've gotten in the email right here. And the license key is not the license number. The license key is the much longer string of both alpha characters and numeric characters. And then you put in your site message, which is also in your email, but it will always be Trial Version.
And hit or just exit off of that field, and you're going to get this message. You must restart the application for any license changes. So then just restart Toad Data Point, and when you get back, you'll see that you've got a new trial license that works for 90 days.
Now, if you're using Toad Workbook, let me show you how to apply it there. So this is the Toad Workbook UI, and you know what? Right up here in the top right, same screen, Licenses, Manage License. And then you just go through the same process that you did. You only have to do it either in Workbook or in Toad Data Point Traditional. Just do it once, and it applies to both Workbook and Toad Data Point. Hope that helps.
