RemoteScan licensing options

Workstation-based licensing option

RemoteScan Enterprise per connected client is licensed per workstation that requires scanning capabilities. There are no server-side licenses. You can have as many installations on as many servers as you require. The number of workstations from which your organization will scan determines the number of licenses required. Each licensed workstation is assigned an individual license key in order to access scanning capabilities. Licenses with current maintenance can be moved to new hardware once per year.

User-based licensing option

RemoteScan Enterprise User Edition is licensed per user who requires scanning capabilities. There are no workstation-side licenses. Users are managed in an Active Directory folder on a server, and there is just one license key that activates the software for all of the users who need it. The number of users who require scanning capabilities determines the number of licenses required. Licenses can be managed as needed via Active Directory.


Note: Active Directory is required to use RemoteScan Enterprise User Edition.
