I wanted to share my experience about joining Quest Singapore after almost a seven-year career break. I am very grateful for this opportunity to share my incredible journey.

When I first decided to take a break from my career, I did not anticipate it would last as long as it did. During those years, I focused on raising my family and pursuing personal goals. However, I always felt that I was missing something, a sense of fulfilment and purpose that comes from professional achievement.

It took me some months to get mentally ready to restart my career. Unable to decide on which path to take, I tried multiple streams out of my comfort zone and something new. But all ended up with no success. So, I decided to return to IT, carrying my previous work experience. A year went fast with loads of preparation, job hunts, interviews, rejections, failures and feedback. I wasn’t prepared to give up and pushed on with my attempts to land a job.

When I learned about the technical support job opportunity at Quest Singapore, I was immediately drawn to it. The job description was a perfect fit for my skills and experience, and I was eager to re-enter the workforce. I was a bit hesitant at first, wondering if I would be able to catch up with the advancements and changes in the industry.

But from the moment I stepped into the interview process, I knew that I had made the right decision. The company culture was warm and welcoming, and all the interviewers took the time to understand my experiences and my goals. The entire hiring process was smooth and transparent, and I appreciated the team's patience and flexibility.

Since joining the company, I have been amazed by the level of support and encouragement I have received from my colleagues and managers. They have been understanding of my career break and have provided me with the training and resources I need to excel in my role. It's been exciting to see how the industry has evolved over the years and how my skills and experience are still relevant and valuable.

I must appreciate the emphasis on work-life balance at this company. The management team recognizes the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life, and they have been flexible and understanding when it comes to personal commitments and emergencies.
