Hello. I'm Stephen Texeira, Solutions Architect at Dell Software. And welcome to the pre-migration readiness video series, featuring Dell's UC Analytic Solutions. In today's video, we're going to showcase the Dell UC Analytics and how it can help you prepare for your upcoming migration and better manage your future environment after the migration is complete.
Pre-migration has over 35 exchange reports, these include everything from mailbox inventory to activity. After the migration is over, you can use UC Analytics to get great insight into your workforce activity, usage, system performance, and availability. I'm going to show you just a small sampling of what UC Analytics reports are available.
So you can see here this is a web-based interface. I'm coming into the Tool Set into what's called the Insight Library. And you can see the Insight Library consists of many different subcategories. I'm actually in the migration subcategory here.
And we can look at everything from platforms, user adoption, comparing Exchange and Skype and Cisco environments, group activities, email activities, inactive users, exchange inventory, public folder information, as well as activity and inactivity with mobile devices, and mailboxes and groups as well. So I'm going to go to my homepage. And this is a persistent homepage based on the user that you connected with.
And that particular homepage is enabled with the Insights that I've chosen to load for this particular homepage under the Migration category. And you can see here mobile devices, public folders, active, inactive. You can resize these particular values.
You can look at the exchange inventory. You can look at delegate access inventory, for example, is very important context when you're looking at migrating mailboxes in concert with each other that have delegation rights. So let's open up this insight.
So here we can see based on this particular insight that we will have gathered information from the Active Directory as well as the exchange configuration. As you can see here, this shows us the list of mailboxes that each user has access to in the organization. We will have gathered information with the solution from the domain controller and the exchange configuration.
In which mailboxes does a user have access? And you can see here the mailbox owner, you can see the user, you can left click on Individual Value, and you can browse details for this particular user as well. And it'll show you the mailbox owner, the user, the last log on of that particular mailbox, and the size of that particular mailbox.
You can go to Exchange Inactive Users. If you want to make decisions about who gets migrated first, this is the last 28 day time frame here by default. I'm going to set this to today's just so we could see some data. And based on a particular time frame, you can decide whether or not these people are using or aren't using their mailboxes in concert with whether or not they should be migrated.
Let's go back to the mobile devices, for example. If you want to take a nice look into your environment as to what mobile devices exist for what users. You can see the type, multiple objects for a specific user, different OS's, phone numbers, et cetera. You can also customize these fields and add in specific fields that you want to sort by, ascending, descending. You can expand all of the 116 fields that are available here. And you look at everything from active directory information to throughput on the device as well.
So, again, just modifying the particular date train here for the public folders inactive insight report. So we can look at the last modification date of that particular information, give you some insight as to whether or not these public folders are being used and whether or not they should be migrated as part of the migration as well.
Post-migration, going back into the Insight library. I can see all the generic Exchange reports we have here, everything from ActiveSync, DLP matches, email activity, email activity, for example, in the target environment, you can see throughput, summaries, messages by senders, even down into details for that information as well.
So quite a few Insight reports and categories throughout different veins of information here within the Exchange link and Cisco environments with cross platform activity as well.
