In this short video tour, I'm going to explain what On Demand Group Management is and show you one of the On Demand Group Management features.
If you've taken any of the other tours, you know that ODGM is a SAS-based group management tool for on-prem only, hybrid, and Azure-only groups. It allows for controlled self-service creation, management, and attestation, as well as provide the administrator with a single pane for the whole hybrid environment.
The self-service portal is designed with the end user in mind, and the My Activities page gives the user a one-stop shop to view and manage their approvals, requests, and attestation for any group type and any group on-prem, hybrid, or Azure-only. With ODGM, the user doesn't need to know, or care what kind of group they need or are managing, or where it resides.
The activity section as well as any part of the self-service portal provides functional consistency throughout. Therefore, clicking Request on any of the pages provides progress and details of the approval or attestation, and you can see who is next or was part of the completed process. Also, any area of the My Activities or self-service portal pages provides all the pertinent information related to that activity and the actions that can be performed for it.
If the user is a group owner of any groups, they may be part of the approval process defined by admins. The My Approvals area allows them to view their pending, approved, rejected, and expired approvals. A pending request allows the user to approve or reject from the Details page or from the main page. The Approved page shows all of those that the user has completed, and they can choose to view or report it.
The Rejected page are those they've rejected, and they can view these as well. And the Expired page is a list of those they didn't get to in time. The My Request area or those requests the user has submitted for themselves. From here, they can click the In Progress to see where it is in the process, and they can choose to cancel their request.
The All page shows all of those that they have requested, whether they're current or past. Again, if the user is an owner of groups, they may be part of the attestation process. The My Attestations page allows them to view those that are pending for them, that they've completed, and have expired. And it's similar to the Approvals page, but displays only the attestations that the user can approve or reject, those that they've already completed, and the expired list or those that they didn't get to in time.
The My Activities page is just one part of the self-service portal and is designed to give the user an easy, consolidated view of their personal activities, whether it's approvals, attestations, or requests they've submitted for themselves.
