Hi I'm Sean Lutley, an instructional designer for Quest Software, and I would like to welcome you to the Explore Quest on Demand video that allows you to sample our solution to show you what our product offers you, and problems that can be solved using Quest on Demand. This is the dashboard. This gives you a comprehensive view of all On Demand services. You can see over on the left-hand side it has the Demo dashboard selected. As you can see, there's a needs-your-attention section that gives you errors and warnings about your environment like group modifications, failed backups, et cetera. This section is very helpful to make sure that your environment is being properly protected. You can view failed backups or group modifications, and assign owners to groups without owners, et cetera.
If you look at the migration service it gives you a graphic that shows how many objects that are being migrated, and then it breaks down the migration progress into accounts, mailboxes, and OneDrive data, and the percentages of what have been migrated. Over on the Recovery service it lets you know that you are protected, which means your backups are working on its schedule. It also shows that retention is disabled, and the MFA settings are disabled also.
For the Group Management service you can see how many Office 365, security, and distribution list groups there are, along with trends over the last 30 days, and a graph chart that shows you over the last week. The Policy Management service gives you details like manage users by On Demand, your Exchange Online users, Skype for Business users, and the percentage completed and what rules are applied. Then there is the Audit service, which gives a high level overview of things like suspicious file shares, cloud-only users, and tenet changes.
There is a workloads graph and a breakdown of Azure AD signings, Azure AD activity, and Office 365 over the last seven days to give you a baseline trend. And at the top you can see your tenant, Office 365 licenses that are signed or unassigned, your users that are in the cloud-only or hybrid, along with groups also. Then you have the option to scan your environment. This will go through and find all the relevant data that pertains to your organization, and will help you identify any issues that need your attention.
During this process you'll need to sign in using a Microsoft account that has global administrator rights. He will need to grant consent on behalf of your organization to read your profile and maintain access to data you have given it access to. Then you will need to read our terms of use and privacy policy, and accept them and then continue. After the scan is completed, you will now see a new link on the left called My Dashboard, and you will start to see data like in the Demo dashboard depending on what you have in your environment, and if you have subscriptions for any of our services or trialing some of them.
One thing to note. With the Guest dashboard you can only scan one tenant in your environment, and data will be preserved for 30 days in a US data center, but in production when purchasing a subscription you can manage multiple tenants and pick any data center region you wish.
