Hello, my name is Joe Gostnell. I'm here to demonstrate the RemoteScan Enterprise User Edition client installation. This will be on your terminal or Citrix server with your Active Directory, which I've already logged into. OK, if you haven't already, go ahead and download the RemoteScan Enterprise install file from your account.
Once you have downloaded the file, let's go ahead and double click on it. And you'll see the Windows General Practice User Access Control Security Warning. Just go ahead and click Yes button on that. OK, we do strongly recommend that you exit out of all Windows programs before continuing. Once that's verified, go ahead and click the Next button. This is our license agreement page. Once you've read through it fully, go ahead and click the I Agree, and then the Next button.
The RemoteScan Enterprise User Edition installer includes the client, the server, and the license server installation. The client is going to be installed on the terminal or Citrix server, which has Active Directory. Once you understand that process, go ahead and click the Next button. We are installing the client software on the terminal server session, so let's make sure that the radio button is selected here, and then click the Next button.
Here you will need to input your RemoteScan license server IP address and listening port. Once you've completed that, go ahead and click the Next button. You will need to update all users who log into the session. So go ahead and click the Update All or Multiple Users box, and then click the Next button. The RemoteScan Enterprise User Edition install setup will now try to locate the home directory of all users. Go ahead and click the Next button. Notice it does say that the R drive is your true home path. Go ahead and verify that and click the Next button.
If you would like users to scan into Office applications, select those here, and then click the Next button. You will need to update the personal firewall on your server, if you're running Windows XP or older or a Windows Server 2003 and older. If you're not too sure, go and check that anyway. And then click the Next button.
OK, we're ready for the install. Let's click the Install button to execute. And it will now ask you to point to your user's true home path. Click the OK button. And then drill down to that location that you verified before, which is this. Click that. And then the OK button. Here you can select all users or only select the users you'd like. I'm going to just select my name, and then click the OK button. The installation is now complete. We'll go ahead and click the Finish button. And that concludes the install process on the client terminal server. Thank you so much for watching this video series, and I hope you have a great day.
