Mike Shurtz

Michael Shurtz is a database systems engineer for Quest, specializing in database replication. Before joining Quest, Michael was a senior database administrator for Union Bank, where he managed complex database environments and more than 800 databases, and set up audit reporting processes that were not available before. Prior to Union Bank, Michael was a senior database administrator for Washington Mutual.

Michael self-taught and was able to get certified in Oracle databases. He has always been interested in data movement from one environment to another. After trying other products, he found SharePlex to be the most enjoyable and user friendly to use, which lead him to Quest and his current position.
