Agencies of the State of Delaware Have Deadlines Met Because of KACE

[MUSIC PLAYING] My name is Johnathan Welch. My title is Engineering Support Supervisor. I work for the State of Delaware IT department, the Department of Technology and Information, in Delaware. So our business can't be down for an hour, or a day. We're the team that they call when any agency that we support is down for any period of time. So it would cost us everything. Around the same time every year, we would run into an issue with all of the agencies we support asking for hardware reports, so they can lifecycle their equipment. Basically, every year, we would have to run these reports. And the reports we're getting longer and longer, so we were really looking for a way to automate that piece. Well if we didn't get it done in time, it could impact the ability for those agencies to be able to refresh, or lifecycle, their equipment, especially when it comes down to crunch time with budgets. We were using SCCM, for the most part, and it had some decent functionality with deploying software and doing some reporting. But we were looking for a more robust tool that even had some additional options to use. We chose the KACE SMA for all of its various functionality, including asset management, software distribution, scripting. As we implemented KACE SMA, we've got the agent on all of our devices. We got much more real-time feedback that helped us meet those goals. Using KACE, it's absolutely reduced our stress level. I recall a time where I was pushing out software to a training room, and by the time I hit the Go button, got up out of my seat and walked to the training room, it was already deployed. And that was just a huge time saver for us-- and meeting stressful deadlines, when it comes to those training rooms, because people are always trying to book at last minute. DA, we're mainly using it for drive and printer mappings, but we're also pushing out registry keys. We basically use Desktop Authority for user configuration, and we're using KACE SMA for device configuration. I've got a excellent team that I'm working with. And we would get the job done regardless, but KACE SMA has absolutely saved us a ton of time. It's going to help us meet the Windows 10 deadline, which is coming up very quickly, in January. And I recall that the Windows XP deadline was a lot more difficult to hit. So we're way ahead of schedule due to KACE SMA, at this point. So using the KACE solutions, I've been able to meet very tight deadlines that are set by our agencies that we support. The customer service we get out of Quest, every time we call over to them for support, has been phenomenal. I strongly recommend it, whenever you run into an issue. The KACE SMA is limitless in its functionality. It increases my productivity tenfold. Anything you do on one machine, you can do on 7,000 machines at a time. [MUSIC CONTINUES]
