NTT Employs Quest KACE Solutions to Better Serve Their Customers’ Needs

I work for NTT Data Services. And we are a global IT service provider for every industry, every vertical, anybody looking to optimize their IT operations. We work with KACE in two capacities. One, we are the hosting provider for KACE as a Service. We operate that environment. And then two, we also use KACE in both virtual platforms and as a service platform to manage our managed services customers and their employees. We're very familiar with KACE and how to use KACE with our managed services customers. So we've been able to really evolve our processes to something that is significantly more advanced than customers first starting out with the product could provide for themselves. And I think that that allows us to come in day one with a definitive, differentiated value for our customers using KACE and the KACE products. KACE solves a lot of problems for our customers. We find that a lot of customers are struggling with patch, particularly now with Windows 10. Some customers are also struggling with inventory and reporting and some simple solutions like enabling the service desk to distribute one-off pieces of software. We can use KACE and some of the workflow automation pieces in the service desk to enable some of those features and really put together some creative solutions for enabling shift left modalities. It saves us time, and it allows us to do more for our customers because we can save that time. We had a customer that had a unique challenge in terms of being able to patch, patch quickly. They had probably 500 sites across the United States, supported 12,000 endpoints. And with the flexibility of KACE and our ability to use different kinds of replication and cloud-based hosting, we were actually able to put together a solution that allowed us to get their environment patched within three days. It was a very effective solution, very high-speed, and solved their unique challenges. As a partner, I think the main benefits for us are really that we have been able to take our experiences and share that information, which we've actually seen as changes and improvements as the KACE products have evolved. I love the aspect that on the servers is very simple. It's very easy for a lot of IT generalists to understand and learn. But then as you need it to be a little bit more sophisticated, a little bit more flexible, you can peel back layers of that onion, if you will, to get a really comprehensive systems management automation platform. Our customers have had engagements with us, and they expect contractually certain things be handled by NTT data. And our ability to be flexible and have the capacity to step in and help out in those unique sessions really helps us to better serve our customer.
