O/S Upgrade of Centos 6.9 to 7.4 server where smartdisk dedup is running

Any recommendations for this process?

    Andre,
    Finally had gotten around to upgrading from Centos 6.9 to 7.4 the other night and I had to install SmartDisk 10.0.1 on the server and SmartDisk 10.0.0 is not supported on 7.x.

    I had preserved both the store and stagepath as required by the upgrade instructions:

    support.quest.com/.../20

    but had overlooked the identity.cfg as the software was installed on the /usr partition.
    Is there a way to recreate this file on another centos 6.9 server?
