Stat 5.8.1 CA stops responding after cold backup of db causes a disconnect, but never reconnects.

 Stat 5.8.1 CA stops responding after cold backup of db causes a disconnect.  Agent service doesn't go down though, so never restarts to reconnect.  Is there a way to reconnect the CA to the db w/o a restart of the service?
