Last month we welcomed over 120 partners from across EMEA to our EMEA Partner Conferences held in Windsor in the UK and Munich, Germany.
These were our first European public events as Quest in 2016 and we were excited to welcome our partners and distributors to unveil the Quest company strategy, branding, and Quest Partner Circle. We had partner representation from all over EMEA – as far apart as Russia, Israel and South Africa.
I really enjoy the networking aspects of events like these. I love to spend time understanding our customers, partners, and distributors, working out how we can build stronger strategic partnerships and be more successful together.
The events kicked off with a networking breakfast buffet and then everyone was welcomed by Pete Koliopoulos, Vice President, Global Software Channels & Alliances, leading with an overview of what to expect from Quest. Pete’s message was clear – he wants people to think of Quest as:
- Great products
- Great services
- Easy to do business with
Not a bad emphasis I would say!
I shortly followed with our ‘It’s Time for Channel’ messaging – highlighting our priority for the Channel in Quest, how we plan to evolve our channel over time. Our key focus being profitability for the channel - more profit pools, more capability and always, ease of doing business with us.
The morning was then wrapped up with our sponsor presentation by Microsoft – “Quest & Microsoft Driving Digital Transformation”.
After lunch our delegates were split between the break-out sessions which provided focused tracks that aligned to the partners/distributors specific interests:
- Microsoft Platform Management
- Data Protection
- Endpoint System Management
- Database Management
A key purpose was to share our overall vision of the company and our partner program as it stands today, at launch.
Our aim was for our partners to walk away understanding the Quest Partner Circle program, our strategy and what it’s like to be aligned with a dedicated software company.
We would like to thank all of our partners and distributors who joined us at the events, we truly appreciate their commitment to us. We found the event to be very collaborative and interactive; it was our chance to hear from our partners and distributors, to learn about ideas we can adopt into our program plus how we can adapt the way we do business to enable our channel to be much more successful.
We look forward to shaping the future together. It’s definitely time for channel!
