Version 12 Quick Filter box removal

I'd like to make a feature request for the next update. Can you add the quick filter box back in addition to the new filtering method.

When searching lists for systems to view logs I now have to make no less than five clicks, in addition to scrolling through a long list of items if I'm looking for a specific job title or client, to find what I'm looking for. The previous method of simply typing a few letters in the box and have my results immediately be displayed is much more efficient.

Is there a reason the search filter box was removed and replaced with the multi-click filtering system? Is it possible for both to exist?

The search filter box still exists in the Manage Sets section, but is missing from where I used it most: Job Status and Manage Job Definitions, which are the two sections for me with the most possible results and where the filter box is most useful.
