Password prompt in NMSP Console during discovery

Hi

Whenever I run a database discovery on the Notes Migrator to SharePoint console , in order to discover lotus notes databases on s specific server, I get constantly prompted to enter my Lotus Notes password  for a new database. For example if the console discovers 400 new databases , I get promoted 400 times , which is annoying.

I generally check the checkbox for "Run task in background" and also for "Scan usage , ACL and other option" (These two checkboxes are at the bottom of the discovery wizard that you get when you choose the locations/servers to perform discovery).

I would appreciate if anyone could point out steps that I could take to ensure that I don't get prompted to enter my password for each database that is found during discovery

  • Hi,
You could try logging into the Notes Client on the Migration machine, and under Security - Security Basics selecting "Don't prompt for a password from other Lotus Notes-based programs".
(I presume you have set the Notes Password in the MNSP Settings and tested the Connection successfully.)
