Shrinking a repository

The server we have running Rapid Recovery (6.1.3) has a large amount of physical storage.

Since it appears we're only using about half the physical storage with more than a year's worth of backups / restore points, I was wondering if we could shrink the repository and claim some of that storage for another physical server?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

  • The only option you have to shrink a repository is to archive the data, delete the repository, create a new smaller repository, then import the data and point all the agents backups to the new repository.
