How to free up repository space version 6.1.3

Hello

Recently i did a full check repository task because after  reboot the core the repository failed to mount with the following error:

Server side:Replay.Core.Contracts.DedupeVolumeManager.DedupeVolumeManagerException: The mount operation failed
Error mounting the volume [VolumeDescriptor{RepositoryId=7f6c2a4a-4a0c-45ca-8197-8b9553626b30,DeviceId=1,AllocationPolicy=Striped,FileSystems='[FileSystem{RepositoryId=7f6c2a4a-4a0c-45ca-8197-8b9553626b30,DeviceId=1,DataPath=E:\Repository,MetadataPath=E:\Repository,WriteCachingPolicy=On}]'}] - Error(s) 'DvmMountFailed'
at Replay.Core.Implementation.DedupeVolumeManager.Dvm.Mount(VolumeDescriptor descriptor)
at Replay.Core.Implementation.Repositories.DvmRepository.MountRepository(ProgressCallback progress)
at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.Execute()

before the check the space of the repository was 50% of use, 2 days after the check the repository increases the space to 99.9 %.

how can i fix that?

regards

  • Hi, the error only indicates the repository will not mount. We cannot tell with the data provided that the repository is 99.9% full. If looking at the free space on the volume the repository is on, it will always look full as we thick provision. In order to see how much free space is in a repository, you must first mount it.

    Trying to troubleshoot why the repo won't mount through Forum chat will not be productive. I would suggest starting with looking for disk errors in System events. If an iSCSI or DAS volume, look for connection failures related to the volume. Address these issue if present and stop and restart the core service to see if the repo will mount.

    If you do not have any volume related issues or if you do and the repository still fails to mount after fixing the issues, please open a Service Request so we can assist directly, https://support.quest.com/contact-support
