How does Active Admin perform the backup/sync routine?

We're setting up logging on the Active Admin appliance. During a test, if a user account is modified (removed from AD Group) with Active Roles, and then Active Admin syncs the change to our AD, we don't see the change in the Windows System/Security logs - where as, if the user is modified from Active Directory Users and Computers, we do see the change in the Windows logs. Do syncs made with Active Admin generate Windows logs, or that something that would be generated on the Active Admin audit logs?
