Source Control - "Invalid Directory Structure" error

I'm trying to link up an existing Azure SQL database with an existing repo (TFS online) and am getting an "Invalid Directory Structure" error. I've used this same database and repo with RedGate Source Control in the past without a problem.

How do I link an Azure Db to an existing repo? Does Apex require a proprietary folder structure?

  • Redgate and Apex use different directory structures. So you have to delete the structure in TFS and check it in again by using Apex SQL Source Control from your database in SSMS.

    • ApexSQL Source Control creates its own folder structure when you are linking a database for the first time to the source control repository. The best practice is to choose the empty folder for a source control repository and the add-in will create a folder structure that is needed.
