Cannot activate ApexSQL Diff

I have a license for all ApexSQL version 2008 tools. I'm trying to activate Diff on a Windows 7 virtual machine, as it does not install on Windows 10. The automatic activation fails. The manual also fails, with the website returning a 500 server error.

Could you please advise?
