Why is it that after successfully installing server components on the server side, using ApexSQL recover to connect to the database on another computer still prompts for the need to install server components?

Please be sure that the ApexSQL Recover Server-side components are running under the Local System account and check that the status is set to automatic and running. Remember that to connect to a remote server using ApexSQL tools, you need credentials that have local admin right and sysadmin role in the SQL Server instance.
