Source Control Action Center: how can one ignore user changes and not default select

in Source control action center, how can one ignore user changes? Tried unchecking in the Object Filters (local and global), but the user changes still show up. Even worse they show up default checked. How does one also keep things from being default checked when opening action center when it refreshes?

  • I can't even sign in to ApexSQL suddenly. When I try to use "Sign In Online" it gives a webpage ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR. Odd as it's trying to go to https://localhost:48524/

  • Are you able to log in into licensing.ism.quest.com with your Quest credentials and confirm that you can see your license there?

What version of the tool are you currently using?

  • Yes, I can see my licenses. Using version 2024.01.2215, SSMS 20.

Why does ApexSQL need to open a localhost website after signing in? Is this somehow how it communicates back to the plugin that one has signed in and authenticated?  additionally, it seems if chrome is used it tries to force https. Even if I change the web address  to just http it still does not work.

I had to change my default browser to firefox, when through the plugin to to sign in. After sign in it again tried to go to https://localhost:48524/..... but it failed. This time I removed the entire "https//" from the address bar and it worked. I have no idea how that worked, but it did. I suppose in doing so it bypassed the browser's want to serve the site securely? I don't know, and I don't know how it could hit any site without an https or an http.

  • The application shows a message in a new address when the application has logged in correctly.

We will review this with devs.

Now that you have successfully logged in. Were you able to ignore the users from the Action Center?
