Possible to find and replace data in archives based on pattern (Example) Credit card numbers, Social Security Numbers

Is it possible to find archived data with a pattern matching and remove that data or replace with XXX

Example: client wants to search through all the Archived mail items looking for Credit card numbers   1234-5678-9012-3456   and replace with XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

As well as Social Security numbers like  123-45-6789    Replace with XXX-XX-XXXX
