Not able to see archived attachments in Outlook 2016

We recently migrated from Exchange 2010 to 2016 and now, after we moved the public folders, we have some issues with access to archived attachments. Outlook 2013, everything works fine. Outlook 2016/O365 we have some that work and some that do not, which is very strange. All our installs are 32bit. Everything was working when we were in hybrid between the two servers... What changed after the cut over and why is this working on some and not others? I greatly appreciate any thoughts..... Thanks 

  • In a standard legacy Exchange environemnt the Outlook Form for Archive Manager is installed in a Organisational Forms Library, see ( you may want to check that the Organisational Forms Library exists and that users have access to this, or alternativly you can install the forms for each user via the OutlookComponents.msi which is available in the Administration/Downlod Tools/ page of your Archive Manager website.

  • 1. Click File > Open & Export (or Open) > Open Outlook Data File.
    2. In the popping up Open Outlook Data File dialog box, open the folder containing the archived Outlook data file, click to select the archived Outlook data file, and click the OK button.
    And now the archived Outlook data file has been opened in your Microsoft Outlook.
    3. In the Mail view, open the archived mail folder whose email’s attachments you will get, and then click the email to open it in the Reading Pane.
    4. Go to the Reading Pane, click any attachment to activate the Attachment Tools, and then click Attachments > Save All Attachments.
    5. In the opening Save All Attachments dialog box, please select all attachments in the Attachments box, and then click the OK button.
    6. In the second Save All Attachments dialog box, please click to select the destination folder you will save the attachments into, and click the OK button.
