Had a question from a customer today about backing up the Foglight for SQL PI database. The customer wants to automate this using command line and the reference guide asks you to deactivate the agent first, via the UI.
No problem, I said, there is always a way with Foglight and I sent him the following command:
fglcmd -cmd agent:deactivate –name agent_name
Example:
While the agent is deactivated infobright can be stopped using infobright-stop and the directory can be copied to backup.
The agent can then be re-activated (as shown in the example above) which also restarts Infobright.
