The Experts Conference (TEC) 2023 is returning to Atlanta! This year, THE independent Microsoft training event of the year will be on September 19–20, 2023. At The Experts Conference, you’ll also be able get answers right from the experts concerning your big technical challenges — while earning up to ten CPE credits per day.
Keynote speakers
The keynote sessions at The Experts Conference always feature some of the industry’s brightest leaders, who readily share their invaluable Active Directory and Microsoft 365 knowledge and experience. Here’s a sneak peek at the keynote speakers for TEC 2023:
Alex Crowther is a Professor of Practice for cyber issues at Florida International University, a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) in Washington DC, and a cyber advisor for several friendly ministries in Eastern Europe. Given his 40+ years of experience working on national security issues, you won’t want to miss his TEC 2023 keynote, “Geopolitical Tensions and You: The Most Serious Security Risks Facing Your Organization,” in which he will discuss the rise in geopolitical tensions across the globe and how they impact your organization’s security and the regulations it must comply with.
Justin Kohler and Robby Winchester will be presenting the TEC 2023 keynote session, “Click, Click, Boom: The Adversary Perspective on Identity Risk in Active Directory and Azure.” Justin, vice president of products at SpecterOps, is an operations expert with over a decade of experience in project and program development with a focus on process and workflow optimization. Robby, vice president of services at SpecterOps, has developed and supervised penetration testing, physical security and breach assessments for private-sector and government clients. Their session will explore real-world examples of both simple and complex attack paths in Active Directory, and demonstrate attack path mapping to help you strengthen your identity risk management strategy.
Mary-Jo Foley is editor in chief at Directions on Microsoft. She hosts regular podcasts and writes blogs to help enterprise customer stay on top of current shifts in Microsoft strategy, technologies, roadmaps, licensing and more. Previously, she was the editor of the "All About Microsoft" blog on ZDNET and the co-host of the "Windows Weekly" podcast on the TWiT Network. At The Experts Conference 2023, Mary-Jo will bring her 35+ years of experience as technology journalist, primarily focused on Microsoft, to her keynote, “Microsoft's Priorities vs. Customer Priorities: Will the Two Ever Meet?”
Greg Taylor and Tony Redmond will offer the keynote session “The Big Pit in the Big Peach: Has the Microsoft Cloud Killed On-Premises Servers” at the Experts Conference 2023. Greg is a product manager for Microsoft’s M365 Core Engineering team, focused on Exchange and security. Tony, a Microsoft Office Apps & Services MVP, runs his own consulting company, serves as editorial director of Practical365.com, and is the lead author of the ebook “Office 365 for IT Pros.” At the Microsoft Ignite conference back in 2016, Greg and Tony debated a key topic of the day: the movement of work from on-premises environment to the cloud. With that workforce shift firmly in the rear-view mirror, at TEC 2023 they will tackle related topics that are pressing for organizations today, including what’s happening with Microsoft’s on-premises and cloud technology, how to maintain security in a world of threat, and whether Microsoft is pushing customers to embrace the cloud for everything too quickly.
