I usually tell Foglight customers that there are going to be multiple ways to do something to reach an end goal.
If you want to adjust the global threshold for an alarm, a very easy way is to click on the alarm as it happens, and go to the Source tab.
There you will see the rule name, the agent, cartridge, and other details. You can edit the rule logic from here via the Edit button.
But the thresholds at which the alarm fires are shown in the Registry Variables pane. In this case, ..."Low" is at 20.0 ms and "...Medium" is at 40.0 ms. This is for connection timing to SQL Server.
You can adjust these directly by clicking the Edit button. Use the same format that you see initially, in this case, with the decimal place. Click save and the new value takes effect immediately on future alarms.
