Failure Type : Unknown error occurred

Hi Quest,

Change Auditor: 6.9.3

Change Auditor for Active directory

I have been noticing quite a few Failure notices in Change Auditor. A special service account is trying to move a group from one OU to another OU. I have checked the security permissions on the OU (Source, Target) and the service account used has the correct security permissions.

I checked the 'InTrust for AD' log, I see the attempted move and the only description is.

Failure Type : Unknown error occurred

Any way to determine exactly what the failure is?

"Protected AD Objects" CA feature will deny AD object change even the caller got naive AD rights? Very powerful feature which stays in parallel to MSFT native permissions.

Hi Aidar,

I checked Protection in CA and none of the groups are Protected. I also checked AD and they are also NOT protected.

An Administrator did, however, notice that if a group still contained members, he could not delete it.

We are still looking into it.
