Domain Users with group membership report

I need a report to add the below attributes targeting users:

- Account Disabled
- Distinguished Name
- Expiration Date
- User Name
- Group Membership

I have contacted with support team, his name is Randy Armstrong. He helps me to find out the relevent report for me to use but unfortunately this cannot be accomplished "out of the box" with Enterprise Reporter and he advised me to submit a request to create a custom report.

SR Number:3784470| - Need help for setting up the parameter.

  • Hello Mohamed,

A member of the product team is currently investigating this request.

    Regards,
    Randy Armstrong

      • This script does not work for him because I cannot get the group membership details for the use. To make it clear, in old quest reporter we have report with below configuration and we need that as well.

        Report Fields

        [User]
        Account Disabled
        Distinguished Name
        Expiration Date
        User Name
        Group Membership

        Collection Linking
Linked Attributes will force live collection

        Group Nesting Option
Nested groups will be collected 10 levels deep.

        Grouping
        User Name

        Applied Filter
Group Membership begins with 'CN=gg_DMZ_EBus_Ebus_Access' Or Group Membership begins with 'CN=gg_DMZ_TEST_EBus_Ebus_Access'

        Objects
        Staff

I want a report like that. Let me know if you need more info.
        • Hello, Mohamed!

Could you please provide us with some additional information?

          1. Which info should be included in "Group membership"? Should it be distinguished name of the group or is it something else?

          2. Which info should be included in Linked Attributes?

          3. Does "Nested groups will be collected 10 levels deep." mean that you need recursive group membership in addition to existing data?

          4. Could you please provide us with old report (definition or example) you mentioned?

          Thank you.

          • my reply as below.

            1. I want report also to provide the Group membership for the domain user. For example i have 1000 users in different OUs and i want to filter user from patricular OUs which those users who are member of group A and group B. At least give me a template where i can generate a report for domain user including their member of groups so that i can do manual filter.

            2. linked attributes is not important. Can ignore it.

            3. Group Nesting also not important. Can ignore it.

            4. I could not attach any screen shot in this box. as you see the report fields at the above was configured in old report. Is a domain user report and there is parameter set to filter group membership.

            Thank you.

            • Please review the following report;
              www.quest.com/.../116
I hope this will help: filters by group name and by distinguished group name are added.

              Thank you,

              Nikolay Portsel

              • Hi Nikoley,

sorry for late reply. Acctualy this report is working whereby i can generate the group membership. However I also need to filter the report base on OU location.

In main page of report you can see 'Include the following domain" and I need this option as well "Include the following OU" as well.

Filter by Group name and Group distinguished is working fine.

Can you add the OU as well in the custom report. Appreciate your kind assistance.

                Thank you.
