Report User Profiles Greater Than 500MBs

Request a report, that I can schedule to run once a week on two domains, that will report the c:\user Profiles that are greater then 500MB. I submitted "Service Request Number 4164421" and they said I need to request one to be built.

Quick question...what discoveries are being used and do you have any extended attributes? i.e. Active Directory, Computer, NTFS discoveries?

AD Computers NTFS are all being discovered. And yes we do have a couple or a few extended attributes.

Hello,

I've included an Enterprise Reporter 3.0 report which displays the list of computer profiles over 500 MB for the filtered domains. This report requires the computer and NTFS collections. The Report query filters out files located within junction points/Reparse points as those files are actually stored in separate locations.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for you work on this!! But, the report is not returning any information. I have Discoveries running for both Computers and NTFS collections. The empty report has 5 columns: ProfileUserName, TotalSize, DomainName, ComputerName and ProfilePath. Can you also add a column for the last collection time?

Just to figure out why things aren't working, can you run the "Computer ->User Profile Information" report to see if that data if the data was collected for the computers in your domains. As well, what options were used in the NTFS discovery of your computers? Are you collecting folder through public shares (which would not see your profile folders) or collecting folders on all volumes? (and are you collecting files as well?)

For the first ask: Ran report on one domain, one server and it returned info on 13 user profiles.
Second ask: NTFS options: (Scopes) For all computers resolved in the discovery, collect: Folders on all volumes. Recursion Options: All folder levels. Check mark for: Collect folder permissions, Calculate differences between folder, subfolders and file permissions. And Collect group members.

Also.... when I click on File Storage Analysis... it does return an Overview of the # of Servers, # of Volumes, Total Space, Used, and Free. Also shows the top 5 servers with largest amount of data.
