Dashboard for monitoring team

Hi All,

Hope y'all doin' good!

I am stuck with a task for creating a dashboard for our monitoring team. Basically my requirement is to create a dashboard for them with all the list of current/outstanding alarms as a view and under properties of that view, under actions I should have Alarm detail dialog configured as a dwell over row.

Under the Alarm detail dialog they should not be able to view any information i.e., drill-down any information upon clickin' any of the properties.

I tried to copy the Alarm detail dialog views and modify it but seems I'm doin' somethin' wrong.

Requesting your kind help and suggestions on how to achieve this.

Regards,

Arun.

  • Hi,
you can create Custom View with Current Ala ram List. and you can call that view in your Dashboard. if you want Current Alarm Dashboard --> Configuration --> Definition--> then alarms - down panel --> Views ( Search for Current). Hope this well help you.
    • Thanks Srikanth for the reply, but this is where I am facing challenges. I should create an Alarm detail dialog which when should pop-up when clicked on any alarm from the list of alarms.
      • i have implemented the same in my environment. if you want i can provide details on that.
        • Thanks Srikanth, please do provide the details.
          • Hi All, any suggestions on how to achieve this?
            • Hi Arun,

basically the row oriented table view on general Alarms dashboard meets your requirements if you disable the "Cell Selection" option under Flow tab in Edit mods of the row oriented table view.

              Regards,
              Hurshid
              • Thanks Hurshid for your input, this is what I figured from your comment provided I copy (deep copy the view) the Alarm Detail - Alarm Info and then modifyin'/deleting the cell selection field. Should I assume that any changes I make on a copied view would not affect the original? Also, modifyin' the permission level under roles would not affect the original view right?

                • Hi Arun,

if you have copied the row oriented table and sure you are working on the copy, you can do any changes on it. Your changes will not affect the original one. Moreover, prior saving the dashboard you can test that dashboard!

                  Regards,
                  Hurshid
                  • cool....does this mean what I shown in the screenshot is what you referred in your first comment right? If so, then I will make a copy and proceed with the changes
                    • I thought you want to make changes on the row oriented table, see image.
