I’m encountering some network issues while using ethernet switches in conjunction with the Quest product NetVault Backup v12.4. The main problem is intermittent connectivity drops and slow network speeds, particularly when handling large backup tasks or during periods of high traffic. These disruptions are affecting our overall performance, and I’m looking for guidance on how to resolve them.
I’ve already reviewed the basic network configurations, ensuring that everything is up to date, including the ethernet switch firmware. I’ve also tried adjusting some settings such as MTU sizes and QoS parameters, but the problem still persists. Given the nature of the issue, I suspect it may be a compatibility problem between the ethernet switches and NetVault Backup, or perhaps specific configuration settings that need to be optimized for large-scale backup operations.
